Insight Facilitator Certification Workshop

The Insight Learning Foundation cordially invites you to attend a dynamic, informative, interactive three-day workshop on January 14-16, 2009 at the University of Phoenix in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This workshop is designed specifically for educators or facilitators who want to use the Insight Personality System™ to teach groups of people about human temperament and how to incorporate that information into their lives. If you would like to be certified to teach both the Discovering Your Personality Spectrum (DYPS) and the Teaching in the Nexus (TITN) course, you may want to consider becoming a certified facilitator.

While you may purchase and use the facilitator materials for a particular course without attending a certification workshop, the workshop is strongly recommended. It will help you become a more knowledgable and more experienced facilitator. It will give you first-hand experience with someone who has taught the course many times before. It will introduce you to a number of other facilitators who may be a useful resource in the future. It will give you an advantage over other facilitators who have not attended the workshop. And it will allow you to advertise yourself and your workshops in the Directories section on the Insight Learning website.

Rather than attending two, two-day certification programs, this workshop combines the trainings and reduces the amount of time to three days:

• Day 1: Discovering Your Personality Spectrum. During the first day of the workshop, the trainer models how to teach the entire DYPS course. This allows you to experience the course the way it was designed to be taught.
• Day 2: Facilitating with Insight. During the second day of the workshop, the trainer teaches you how to use your facilitator materials, tests your understanding of the course content, observes your presentation skills, introduces you to Insight facilitator resources, and offers critiques for improvement.
• Day 3: Teaching in the Nexus. During the third and final day, the trainer models how to teach the entire TITN course.

During the workshop, you will also be given reading and writing assignments which you will need to complete before being issued a facilitator certificate for both courses.

The price of the workshop does not include the required facilitator materials, the DYPS Facilitator Kit and the TITN Facilitator Kit. You must own a copy of these items before you begin teaching the courses on your own. If you purchase these kits online, they will be delivered to you at the facilitator certification workshop unless otherwise specified.

This workshop will show you how to teach two of Insight's most popular educational courses and and introduce you to other Insight tools and services, paying close attention to how the Insight model is taught differently than you might be accustomed to. This is a very hands-on workshop, where you will not only learn essential facilitation skills, but practice them in small group settings.

Workshop Facilitator

Nathan K. Bryce is the author of an extensive collection of books, training presentations, course materials, lesson plans, news articles, Internet resources, software programs, and multimedia publications, all of which teach a variety of cognitive, social, personal, family, and employment skills that help people succeed in life. In 1994, he invented and patented the Insight Personality Instrument™, the first of dozens of products he created to help people understand human temperament. His latest projects include the 370-page book, Standing Naked in the Shower: Life-Enriching Insights That Expose Human Nature, the Discovering Your Personality Spectrum course, and the Teaching in the Nexus course. Nate is currently serving as the Executive Director for the Insight Learning Foundation, and the President of Insight Learning Solutions, LLC.

Registration & Payment

Workshop Fee. Please select one of the items below to register and purchase the three-day, Insight Facilitator Certification Workshop to be held in Salt Lake City, UT, January 14-16, 2009. You may also call 800-320-4788 to register and pay by phone. The deadline for registration is December 23, 2008. If you want to be certified to teach the DYPS program only, you need to purchase N231FCW for $450 and attend days 1 and 2. If you are already a DYPS certified facilitator, and now want to become TITN certified, you need to purchase N239FCW for $450 and attend days 2 and 3 (if you desire a refresher you may attend day 1 of the workshop for free). If you are not certified in either course and want to be, then purchase N23XFCW for $750.

Facilitator Materials. The price of the workshop does not include the required facilitator materials, the DYPS Facilitator Kit and the TITN Facilitator Kit. You must own a copy of these items before you begin teaching the courses on your own. You will need to bring these materials with you to the workshop if you have already purchased them. If you purchase these kits now, they will be delivered to you at the facilitator certification workshop unless otherwise specified.

Workshop Information

Workshop Time and Location. The workshop will be held each day from 8:57 AM to 3:59 PM at the University of Phoenix (Murray Campus) in Salt Lake City, UT. Lodging. Below are some nearby hotels.

Continuing education credits. A three-day workshop is authorized for 16 contact hours (1.6 CEU) in accordance with guidelines set forth by the National Task Force on the Continuing Education Unit. (Please verify applicability with your professional board before attending.) Please ask for a Certificate of Completion if desired.

Tax deductions. All expenses of Continuing Education (including registration fees, travel, meals and lodging) taken to maintain and improve professional skills are tax deductible according to Treasury Regulation 1.162-5 Coughlin vs. Commission, 203 F2d 307.
