Greg Berryman is the Founder of Performance E Learning, Inc. After graduating from Western Kentucky University in 1981, Greg went to work for IBM in Cincinnati, Ohio as the marketing representative focusing on the hardware and software needs for students in grades K-12. Greg spent the next 15 years working in numerous IBM positions in sales, management, and marketing addressing many issues related to educational delivery options in the K-12 industry.

In 1998 Greg founded The Citadel Group International with the purpose of creating the "Virtual Learning Academy" (VLA) to provide e-learning opportunities for students throughout the United States. The VLA was launched in the first quarter of 1999.

Since its inception, the "Virtual Learning Academy" expanded to numerous districts in the United States, successfully serving several thousand students who have earned high school credit toward their graduation requirements or college entry mandates.

In the second quarter of 2001, Greg began creating a marketing infrastructure that currently includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, California, and Puerto Rico.

With the increase in company growth and expansion and focus, the name of the company was changed to more adequately reflect the organization's mission and goals and future.
