If this sounds good to you, then you will want to take advantage of an important service from the Insight Learning Foundation: the ability to customize participant materials.

Insight has produced a variety of products that have been used by participants in its presentations and educational workshops. Some products were designed for business seminars, others for educators, and still others for families and individuals. But until now, pages that were used in one product weren't available in the others.

Insight associates and their clients can now build their own letterhalf (5.5 x 8.5-inch) booklet from 341 pages that have been recently created or harvested from the Insight product line. This allows clients to choose the elements they like best from existing products such as the Insight Personality Instrument Test Booklet, theDiscovering Your Personality Spectrum Participant Workbook, the Teaching in the Nexus Participant Workbook, and most other Insight booklets.

Clients can also choose which assessment device they want to use: either the full-length 10-page Insight Personality Instrument™, the shorter Insight Spectrum Survey™, or the simplified Primary Color Quiz™. While the longer IPI is still the most accurate, some presenters don't have 20-25 minutes to administer it and prefer the 10 minute forced-choice ISS. The PCQ is ideal for audiences where you want to identify the primary color of the participants and not their entire temperament spectrum.

Now you can build a booklet to meet your specific needs. Create a custom product for team building, parenting, leadership styles, teaching styles, conflict resolution, stress management, communicating effectively -- whatever you desire. You can use your customized product as a workbook that accompanies a workshop, or an information booklet you give out ahead of a presentation, or a booklet you repackage and resell along with some of your own products. The choice is up to you!

As a bonus, each copy of your customized book will be shipped with a complimentary set of Adult Discovery Cards — a $3.00 value. You may substitute the Youth or Child versions of these cards if you desire.

Covers

To build your customized booklet, you need to determine the title and text that will appear on the front cover. The cover shell has been pre-printed in full-color, as shown in figure 1 on the right. You may create any title or graphic you want to fit into the space above the logo, which is 4.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches high. Your artwork will be printed in black ink. Simply supply your black and white artwork in WMF, TIFF or JPEG format at 600 d.p.i., or supply the text if you cannot provide artwork. If you do not provide cover instructions, our standard DYPS cover (figure 2) will be used.

You can also customize the back cover (figure 3). There is a 4.5 inch square space on the upper portion of the page where you can put whatever information you want in there, such as your name, logo, and contact information. Simply supply your black and white artwork as you did for the front cover. The bottom third of this page will have our standard copyright and corporate contact information on it. This lower portion may not be altered.

Next, you'll need to create the inside of the booklet. We currently have 341 pages that you can pick from to build the interior of your product. Below is a list of the pages. To build your book, simply pick the pages you want, and let us know what order you want them to appear in your book. If you want an optional table of contents, we will create one for you that matches the contents of your book. This will always constitute the first page in your book.

You can view the actual pages online. However, before we will give you access to this content, you will need to sign an agreement with us that you will not violate our copyrights. To gain access to these pages, please give us a call at 800-320-4788 and talk to a customer service representative. (NOTE: If you are a certified Insight facilitator or trainer, you have already signed this agreement and can access these pages in the Customized Books section in the Bookstore on our website.)

You can email your customized book request to nathan@insightlearning.com or fax it to 800-320-4788. We'll then create a unique product code for your book that you can use for order processing. We'll also create a prototype of your book and email you a low-res version of it for your approval. We'll then go to press, and in about two weeks you'll have a customized 8.5-inch x 5.5-inch saddle-stitched book.

Pages

Your book must have a minimum number of 20 pages and a maximum of 60, which must be in increments of four. In other words, the length of your book can be 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, or 60 pages.

Pricing

Each custom book order must have a minimum of 50 copies printed. Payment must be arranged for before production begins. The retail price of any customized book is 50¢ per page. Certified Insight facilitators and trainers may qualify for discounts.

Time

It takes approximately 4-5 working days to build and print your book, then we can ship it to you as fast as you need it. A good rule of thumb to follow is to allow two weeks for processing and shipping.

Customization

If there is a topic that you would like to see but does not appear here, please let us know. From time-to-time we will create others pages and add them to the list. However, if you want something written or customized especially for you, our fee for writing and typesetting is $100 per hour, with a minimum charge of one hour. We will be glad to provide you an estimate.

Furthermore, if you have your own pages that you would like to include in this booklet, we will be happy to print them in the book for you. You will be charged your discounted per-page price. Please provide your artwork in TIFF or JPEG format at 600 d.p.i. If the content is not your own, you must prove that you have permission to use the material.
